CURRENT CORPORATE FOCUS: UNITY

BEING ONE AS GOD IS ONE

“In our consecration to God, we must not forget to engage with others! Our consecration leads us to awaken to God’s Voice, His Wisdom, and the ways of Jesus.”

MEETING PLACE

VERGE CHURCH has partnered with Desert Christian High School.

We are meeting in their “Upper Room” at Desert Christian High School each Sunday at 10 am (See map below).

This is an exciting time for us as we become more agile and available to our community on the other side of this move. The landscape of the Church overall is changing and we believe this is a wise decision allowing us to make ourselves more available to serve our city and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Same mission, different location.

As we conduct in-person services we are staying up to date on the current state of the pandemic: The Leadership Team is aware of both public and private information and guidelines surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Verge is able to conduct constitutionally protected activities as a church. Verge has chosen to exercise these freedoms and has resumed assembling.

In our assembling, we will be practicing physical distancing and providing options for individuals and families to comply with those practices.

PARTNERING WITH A LOCAL STARBUCKS TO SUPPORT A FAMILY IN NEED

Each Year Verge Church partners with the Starbucks at Broadway and Houghton to support a family in need. This year we were able to bless a very unique family situation.

The gift cards and toys we supplied went to a family who has suffered great loss this year.

Just before summer this families 8 year old passed away from cancer. Both the parents had suffered transitions in their careers that lead them to have to sell their familie’s home, putting there family in another major transition. As of today, this family is trying to answer many questions about this year.

When the father came to pickup the items that both the Verge Church families and the Starbucks patrons provided, he found himself overwhelmed by the generosity and amount of gifts he was going to be able to take home. “I didn’t know this type of thing could ever happen”, he kept saying.

We all know that this year has been difficult for many. This family more than most.

We are so thankful to be apart of supporting our local community. And we are praying for this family.
